I always knew that Lord of the Rings was shot in the picturesque back drops of New Zealand. I very much liked the concept behind the film series. Always wondered whether these places are for real or just a conceptualization of the Director's brain. But how difficult it is to imagine an entire set of back-drops without an inspiration. Now I know that Peter Jackson had never conceptualised the back-drops or the scenes, on the contrary he had quite uniquely conceptualised the entire story according to what nature had to offer.I often feel how beautiful is this place on earth and how unique that it can give birth to such wonderful and mystical tales. Few days back, we had a chance to visit the Pinnacles, near Wairarapa. This place is about 1 hour 30 minutes drive from Lower Hutt (a suburban area near Wellington, NZ).
